When and Where does Troop 8 meet?

For normal troop meetings, we meet every Monday at St. Matthews Catholic Church from 7:30pm-9pm. We meet at the Parish Center, which is the building which is facing Stonecrest. Anybody is welcomed to attend our meetings, where interested attendees can get a firsthand look of some of our troop activities and talk to some of our Scouts and adult leaders. What activities does Troop 8 offer to Scouts?

Troop 8 offers a variety of high-adventure treks and camping trips located throughout our great nation. Some of our camps and treks include: - Hiking through New Mexico's mountains at Philmont Scout Ranch. - Biking on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus, Virginia. - Sailing in Florida at Sea Base. - Earning merit badges and enjoying a collaboration of troops nationwide at Camp Ravenknobe. - Skiing at Winterplace in West Virgina. - Summiting Mt. Rogers in Virginia.
How do I register my child for Scouting?

You can register your child for Scouting by clicking on the "Register" tab under "Parent Info." There you can find instructions and forms needed to join our troop.
Where can I buy Scout-related things like uniform and handbook?

There is a Scout Store in Charlotte located at 2109 Westinghouse Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273. They provide uniforms, books, merit badge pamphlets, pocketknifes,etc.
